My S2 RST gearbox is going in for a recon but they're quoting 8 weeks. I have a 1991 XR2i cvh engine and box in my unit and wondered if it would fit as a short term replacement whilst my other one is away
It'll physically bolt on and drive shafts should be fine. Ratios are different, and your Series 2 turbo box will have an LSD (it should have anyway) where the XR2i one won't, it's have a standard open diff.
