2015 Ford Focus Boot issue

My wife has a 2015 Focus TDCi and the boot button has stopped working. I've checked the usual fuses and connections and all seem fine so I am suspecting it is the switch.

However, if I purchase one of these are they easy enough to fit for an average home mechanic? There seems to be no emergency method of opening the boot which I find a bit odd!
