If so, what are your thoughts on the car?

Would it be good as a commuter car, with occasional family use?

I wrote out a long reply to this, then realised you probably weren't taking about the 20 year old variety getmecoat

Don't see why not.

My wife's one is a year old now, and no problems.

Get one with the mega boot if you can, very handy.

You can select the electric boot on some, also very handy.

They're not huge inside, so maybe not if you're a tall one.

Avoid the pan roof, I've heard of people moaning about rattles.

Ok i'll bite then smile Yes my 2001 Ford Puma was a great little commuting car, ok for kids in the back but a bit tight for adults. Watch for the killer rust on the rear arches...

Lol I was talking about the new one, but thanks for the replies. We downsized to a one car family, as I’ve been exclusively WFH. But if we have to start attending the office regularly I’ll need such a car, and this seems a better buy than a Fiesta or Focus.

My impressions from what I’ve seen/read are that it looks good on the outside, is cheap and nasty on the inside, is adequate practicality wise, but most of all is fun to drive.

Starting to see more and more of them on the road.

Wife had a 1.0 MHEV 125 First Edition for a year before taking advantage of the mad 2021 car market and trading up for another hot hatch instead.

Pooma was a great daily car to be honest, really comfortable and economical and drove surprisingly well. Performance never seemed to be lacking which was a welcome surprise.
Very happy with just us in it or fully loaded with passengers. Mild Hybrid system was decent too.
Megabox in the boot is an excellent addition.

The interior is essentially Mk8 Fiesta in terms of design and build but with more rear space. Quality is fine in all the relevant touch points.

I’d recommend one for a small family. They are decent. Very popular too, see them everywhere now!

My partner has a 150 ST line X model and I absolutely love it. It just does everything really well and it's quite good fun to drive too.
