Hi all, I got a 2003 1.6 auto focus for my better half. Unfortunately the gearbox has come up with a fault. It's down to a dodgy solenoid but finding a replacement is looking like an impossible task.

The part number is XS4Z7H148AA I need two to make sure that both bases are covered.

I can order through ebay which will take until the end of the month at the earliest. I could order through Ford but they are asking for 223 quid which is mad.

There seems to be no one else that stocks it in the UK which seems strange considering the gearbox was used in a lot of cars including mazdas and its a common fault.

Does anyone know of somewhere else I can try?

Thank you,

SS2.

Not UK, but autodoc are quoting £36.21 for a vemo one.

Have you tried asking mazda or any of your local motor factors.

Hi everyone, yes that's the part. I have tried all the local options and nobody has it. Luckily whilst trying to find it I found an alternative part number that got me the whole unit from amazon with next day delivery.

Pretty lucky for sure. Out of interest, what are the delivery times like from autodoc? They always seem to have the parts but give no indication of delivery times.

Great, I'll be using them in the future then. 5 days is pretty good.

It’s all relative. I’ve done a 10pm order with ECP before and they’ve delivered it by 10am for free. smile
