Does anyone have an ST220?
Discussion
Thanks guys,
I think it's going to be ideal, as I need a car with a bit more space than my Focus (2yrd old and all the paraphanalia...) but didn't want to have something boring as I'm only 25. I also don't like the all or nothing delivery of turbodiesels even though I know they are probably the sensible option!!
I was thinking a 2004 model because of the updated dash and 6-speed.
Do the Xenons make much difference? Are there any other options I should look out for other than those and the parking sensors?
Cheers,
Paul.

i had the xenons on my 2001 zetec s when i had that and they are a nice option but not essential
also depends on how much night driving you intend to do
the mondeos are a good car i have had 4 now one of each model mk1 mk2 mk3 mk3 facelift
the facelfit 6 speed started about june 2003 i think
also i would go for the hatchback as the 4 door can be a bit awkward for getting bulky items into the boot area
its still a large boot but the opening between the bumper and boot lid is not that great

I've got my eye on an ST220. Depreciation is huge, so it's great to buy one after 3 years.
Is the 6 speed longer legged, or does it bring all the ratios closer?
What is in the facelift, is it just interior and detailing, with the 6 sp box?
Probably wait another year or so before I bother, as the 6 speed box is a must... are they *that* fast though? I have a gti-6 Pug right now, which is quick when you get it revving, so I know the ST220 will be rapido in-gear and at low-rpm, but on the boil will it be much quicker?
Really missing my old Sierra XR4x4's awesome noise and instant grunt, thats the main reason for looking at another V6 Ford with a 3.0 engine
