The TPMS light is on in my ST, all the tyres are good and are not losing any pressure. The car does not have sensors in the wheels but apparently instead this is linked to the ABS system. There is no problem with the ABS which functions fine so I am guessing it is an ABS sensor issue. Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you checked your owners manual?

There are ( or at least should be sensors in the tyres) That's how the system works.

It may require a hard reset?

Some links that might help and guide to a hard reset of the TPMs system ( seems quite convoluted!) if you don't have a manual.

https://www.ford.co.uk/owner/my-vehicle/download-y... The UK manual.

https://www.ford.com/support/vehicle/Fiesta/2016/o... The North American version ? This one has a handy ST supplement that you will see. Page 25 of this manual details the hard TPMS reset procedure.

Hope this helps.

A lot of systems use the wheel speed sensors to detect a flat tyre rather than pressure sensors in each wheel.

In this case it does look like the Fiesta ST does have sensors, though.

It was a v slow puncture. I had checked the pressures and reset the system, short while later it came back so hadn’t picked up it was a puncture as it was losing a really small amount of pressure.

Tyre sorted and system reset. There are no sensors in the wheels for the ST, it does run off the ABS system. Confusing as apparently the rest of the Fiestas do use sensors. Thanks for the replies
