Hi, I’m looking for a used Ranger Wildtrack over the next few weeks and will probably buy from BCA so it will be an online purchase.

With this in mind I would like some info on how to determine the spec I want.

Probably be around 19 reg so I believe that may include a later facelift? I need a Diff-Lock so are these standard or optional? I know they all have cruise but is there an adaptive option?

Any other optional spec that I could look for in photos?

Thanks

Pretty sure the facelift is 69-plate onwards.

The 2.0 BiTurbo has the adaptive cruise, I don't believe the old 5 cylinder came with that.

They have diff locks.

That’s brilliant thanks guys, so I need the driver assistance pack that will give adaptive cruise.
Presume I can tell whether it has that by the steering wheel controls?
BCA are pretty bad at listing options and often miss these packs off, auctioneers are just as bad as I asked a specific question on the last car I bought and they got it completely wrong.

If you have a reg I can check the build-sheet for you

Bear in mind S/H prices are very strong! I've just had a trade in price for my 2018 auto with 75k on the clock 2 grand more than it was 20k miles ago and it has more dings than a 1970's doorbell!
There's a 17 plate in orange in a garage near me for 23k!

Thats kind of you, nothing that ticks all the boxes on BCA yet but getting a little jittery since looking at the forums and seeing all the em=ngine problems reported?
Are they any worse than say the Amorok or is it just the usual case of the forums attracting mainly those who have problems and not the ones who are happy?

No worse than any other I'd say. If it's auto make sure the 'box oil is changed on the button. Amorok's are a tt for notchy manual boxes but other than that they're haven't given us problems. My money would go on the Ranger tbh.
Bear in mind it's now 4x4 season so prices are likely to stay high until Spring 2022

Mine has had a complete engine replacement after 27,000 miles, and I think 3 injectors now. Think it needs at least another done now as it stinks of diesel on startup and is feeling underpowered again.

I’ve driven the 3.0 V6 Amarok extensively, ours at work is well over 100k miles now, no faults with the engine at all.
