Fiesta ST2 intermittent fault

One for the experts please,
My recently purchased 2013 st2 has suffered the following fault twice now in the month I have owned the car, first time after disconnecting maf to clean out k & n filter, second this morning after disconnecting battery.
Both times, within 5 mins of setting off, get spanner light up and service due on screen...then within about 10secs, temp goes to max on display and get cel light and temp warning and car into limp mode. Pull over, switch off and on..then drives perfectly apart from cel light still on.
Get home and check fault codes, get P2557 and P1299 faults...have I got a fsult with coolant level sensor?
Coolant level is perfect, thermostat works correctly, fans all ok and coolant and engine temp are all ok.
Any ideas??
