Going on from thread re spanner light.

On that front, all seams fine now.

But, he’s just got home from uni, in the boot was about 2 inches of water where the spare wheel would normally go. Why could this be.
I’ve sucked it all out now, but seams a strange one.

It’s never had that when sat on the drive at home in the passed.

Puzzling....!!!!!!!

Based on the last thread (assuming it's a mk7 based on the YT link on the thread), if you Google "mk7 fiesta water in boot" it will bring up lots of links from a number of Ford / Fiesta forums and a few YT vids that should give you a decent indication of where to start.

Essentially, as expected, it's pretty common and a number of places of ingress can be from the seal, spoiler, rear light seals / surrounds, etc.

There’s a good chance it’s coming in through the vents behind the bumper. The rubber flaps get tired and don’t seal properly. They act like a non return valve when shutting the doors.
