Engine losing power @ 3000 RPM
Discussion
Hello,
Just took my car in for a full service at a certified Volkswagen dealer. It's a 2014 Ford Fiesta TDCi 1.5 @ 60500 miles.
Following the service, they told me there is a service required light stuck on and they couldn't figure out how to turn it off. Didn't think much of it, because 2 years ago the same thing happened during my service at a Hyundi dealer.
Took it home, and realized not a lot of power was happening when pushing down the accelerator. When I started taking notice, realised it was struggling to get above 3000 RPM. Also, there is an "Engine malfunctioned" light on as well which I wasn't told about.
The service department is now closed until Monday. I have part exchanged my car for a new one which is coming on Monday @ 1pm and was supposed to hand this fiesta over. Needless to say, I am angry, as understandably the new car dealer wants this issue fixed before they give me over the new car and take my old one.
Going to go to the dealership @ 8am on Monday to explain and demand they fix the problem... Just wondering if anyone may have an inkling what this could be? Car was totally fine before I took it in for a service, so hoping something has been left unplugged.
