Focus upgrades - Suffolk/Norfolk?
Discussion
Hi all,
so next week my new/old Focus mk 2 will arrive.
Now i'm keen to have this thing be reliable and fun.
on the advice of others, I hear there's a head mod I need to look into to keep me safe from risks of head cracks.
But i'd like to find a half local garage able to look after the car as it evolves.
I'm probably going to take it to around 300bhp over the next year or so, so I want someone who can do that and should anything break, be able to fix it knowing the car.
Anyone recommend anywhere near the norfolk suffolk border?
Norwich would be handy.

To my knowledge there is no one this way that offers the 'block mod' that you speak of. There are plenty of companies in the midlands that do it. So might be worth a short trip away to get it done. Having watched BD performance videos on youtube I would honestly say most half decent garages would be able to do it. Look at this way it is only banging some metal shims in between the cylinders with a hammer. If a garage is capable of taking the head off and doing a cambelt they will definitely be able to do that!
Tim Williams seems to be just about the most famous person in the country when it comes to the 'block mod' so if it were me that's where I would go
