On the way home last night, having taken a different route, I came across a MK2 Escort Harrier,
parked in a junction ...

- having only just burned to a shell :-O

I stopped and spoke to the owner and we swapped Phone numbers. If he decides to get shot of it, I'd be interested in buying it from him (or the insurance company) as a long term project.

The roof skin had buckled and the interior gone, plus burned under the bonnet - so I dont know how restoreable it is (???). A possible shell-up re-build though?

I really felt for him as he'd just finished restoring it, and what makes matters worse is that his Fire Extinguisher had packed in after a few seconds so he had to stand back and watch it burn.

No one on here I hope?

Thats sad to hear.

I'm not sure what a restoration would be like. It really depends on what sort of damage had been done to the shell which you wont find until you get it apart. However it would be well worth doing.
