Boost problem

I bought a Focus ST mk3 pfl 2 weeks ago. I seem to have plenty of power, well to me it's plenty, my first ST. When I put my foot down it boosts really well but the boost guage hardly moves, maybe a quarter at 4500-5000 revs. I can't see any obvious split pipes so would this then mean it's the solenoid or something else? Thanks

Mine did the same. There was nothing wrong it. It's just how they are.
