Howdy,
I'm trying to order a fanbelt for the above car, but I've been told they have 2? So do i need to order the A/C compressor belt and alternator belt?
Thanks for any help given.

I guess you mean the auxiliary belts, rather than the fan belt as the fan is electric.

There are two auxiliary belts on these engines, one for the alternator, and one for the air conditioning pump.

The alternator belt has a tensioner, whereas the air conditioning belt is a stretch type so needs cutting to remove.

Worthwhile doing both, as if they fail they can easily make the cambelt jump which is engine write off time!

Edit to add:
The alternator belt can only be fitted with the air conditioning belt not fitted.

Thats great, thanks for your quick reply, I've just ordered both belts. £55 inc VAT so not bad at all, wife's cousin is a mechanic so he's doing it for me.

Both genuine belts cost me £35 from A & K motorsport. Anything you need, look there first. Andy has always been a pleasure to deal with, and parts arrive the next day.

Enjoy the ST smile
