Damn fiesta bonnet latch...!!!!!!!

Hi everyone.

Apparently this is a common problem.
Bonnet is shut, display says ‘Bonnet open’.
Lock car, after a while alarm goes of, usually when everyone is in bed.

So, obviously a problem with the catch.

Pictures below, which one has the sensor please...!!!!

I take it the sensor is in the part that rotates to lock bonnet in position when bonnet is shut.

I think if cleaned that part as best as I can, but not entirely convinced it will sort problem.

Not sure what the other part is further back that sticks up from latch. First picture.

End of day, new latch..!!!!

Any help, advice would be smashing.
