Hello, not sure if this is the right area to post this but it’s about my now 20 year old fiesta and classic car insurance.
Basically I’ve been insured with Footman James on let’s say more traditional classic car makes and asked about a classic car policy for my Fiesta. My understanding was a classic needs to be at least 20 years old to qualify. Last year Footman James confirmed this whilst I was renewing the Old Jag insurance.
Yesterday I was all happy thinking my trusty Fiesta I’ve owned since new and in incredibly good condition would finally qualify as a classic and then be able to get an agreed value sorted rather than market value.
So on the phone, waiting 20 mins to get through then another 20 mins discussing the details to then be told my Fiesta now has to be 30 years old. To me it simply came across as classic car snobbery because my car is just a Ford Fiesta and not a Jag, mg or something a bit more exotic.
So my question is there a classic car policy for my 20 year old fiesta? Picture below is my actual car and not in the slightest a rust bucket.

Just chatting to Adrian flux, they advised can’t be certain for an agreed value so no point taking their cover because my agreed value I’ve asked for is to low. It’s just a 20 year old fiesta frown
