Any idea what the difference is? We have a smax and are getting a 2004 focus

What’s the purpose of the original question?

Are you wanting the focus engine to have the same power as the SMax?

Calibrations are different, the heavier car needs a bit more shove to get a family&luggage up a hill. Injection timing and wastegate control are most likely.

Look at remaps for both vehicles - they both end up with same figures smile

must brme the ecu then if post remap they are the same, just wondering why they would steal 10bhp, also I have a tuning box thing on the smax so I could potentially put that on the focus

We have the 2.0 tdci in the S Max phase 1.
Frequently have 7 or a fully maiden boot and roof box.
140bhp is fine does the job - not very economical but it’s an old girl.
I’d not want less of frequently carrying the weight we do.

Next one - or it might be a Galaxy - will be 180/210/240 bhp likely 180-210 depending on what’s available and the options/colour

nobody stole anything, they just turned it up a bit in the heavier car, because its more likely to be fully loaded with people/luggage etc.

Depends on the health of the focus engine doesn’t it
