Hi, I've been looking into the 2018/19 Focus ST-Line-X, 1.5 180bhp. Does anybody own one that can offer some info on what it's like day to day, seat comfort, how the engine pulls, average mpg, any reliability issues etc? It will be my daily driver, doing roughly 300 miles a week so I want it to be a decent, reliable car. I would look at keeping it for 5/6 years, so would probably buy 2nd hand (seen a few in the colour I want for about £20k).

I might be wrong but I think they lowered the servicing interval to every 9,000 miles.
Saw a brand new demo car at a dealership once and the side skirts were already damaged as it is low.

If the driving position is like others then should be comfortable even for 6ft as I easily spend 1.5hrs each way commuting on a daily basis.
Mines an Active X estate 2litre diesel and manual now over 12,000 in 6/7months.

Edit - as of this month computer says I’m getting 57mpg. Normal mode does everything I need, sport will easily spin the wheels (Hancock tyres are nasty in my opinion), eco slows things down a bit but doesn’t effect mpg, slippery is a point and go feels kinda like putting an underpowered 1.6 Impreza in 4wd but it gets you there, haven’t needed trial. To be honest as a whole performance side to me it’s not far off an Octavia Vrs 2.0 diesel.

I've got the 1.5l 150 BHP ST-Line-X Auto. Pros - v comfortable, cabin trim etc pretty good (nothing rattles), performance is good particularly in S mode, personal opinion but I think it looks good, seat are comfortable with good adjustment (5'11'') Cons - fuel consumption is poor I'm only getting 34mpg expected better (was getting 42mpg out of my fiesta), although service intervals are 18,000 oil change is coming up much earlier (7-10k).

All in all happy with it and no major problems 13,000 miles so far
