Focus buying help

Looking at possibly buy a focus more than likely 2012 + unless a see a really nice one slight older . What engine would you say is the best saw 1.6 litre Ecoboost and 1.0 Ecoboost ?

Petrol engine ( 5k miles per year )

Anything to look out for when buying one ??

Just make sure the recall work for the coolant hose has been done on the 1.0 Ecoboost, I believe it affected 2011-2013 models. Other than that it should be fine.

Obviously the 1.6 is more powerful, but less economical. Although if you get a 1.0 and rag it everywhere then the gap in fuel economy will probably be a bit less.

Main issue is the 1.6 is not so common. And also make sure you don't mix up the 1.6 Ecoboost and 1.6 Duratec (non-turbo)
