Hi all am thinking about a Miltek for my fiesta, I have seen that they do a few different options, I have a Mondeo st220 with a miltek, I realise It’s a completely different engine & car, but here’s the thing.

In the mondeo if you put your foot down it really sings very nicely through all the gears & makes a great noise pops & bangs a little with no effort, but drive sedately round town on the motorway & it’s perfect, not loud not overpowering inside.

So I’m really looking for something similar for the fiesta, needs to make a good sound & so that it can be heard otherwise it’s a bit pointless buying it, but being a 1.6 turbo it’s going to be a very different sound which I realise.

I hear to many cars that have had exhausts changed & they sound like a wet fart, not what I’m after, but yes it needs to be sensible on motorways at speed also.

So which one, I’m thinking of miltek non resonated race version, is this loud or too loud, any opinions.

Also possibly thinking of a dump valve & air box & remap at later date maybe. Opinions on these & which dump valve is good that is also not crazy loud that lifts girls skirts as you drive by, if you get my meaning!!!!!

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

If you buy a non-res system, you can buy the resonated section later if it’s too loud (or buy resonated and get the non-res section).

Any Milltek dealer will be able to order the other pipe.

Not on the ST, but the RS has a Milltek.

My 2013 had that exhaust fitted when I got it. I took it off and put a stock system on. They are not loud at all but there is a bit boom when it comes on boost. Didn’t do anything for me. I do like the sound of the itg induction kits though. Whooooooosh.

Should of also put another reason I’m looking to change exhaust is that I think threat box is on its way out & I personally think stainless exhaust are always better to fit due to durability.

Essentially a resonated system will be a bit louder than standard.

A non-res is quite a lot louder.

The best option is to try and find someone with the exhaust and see what you think.
