I just thought I'd let people know about chipping a new 130 bhp TDCi. I had mine done a few weeks ago, and its made a huge difference in pick up and power. Also it revs and pulls much harder towards the red line.
The chip is supposed to give an extra 20% bhp and torque and I can definitely believe that!

Yes it does affect warranty.

If the chip/remap etc is deemed to be the cause of a failure, the warranty on the affected components will be void.

I've driven a few chipped TDCi fords now and most will also fail the emission test as a result of the increased fueling.

The current Bosch and Delphi high pressure common rail systems in use on the ford range don't need much encouragement to play up as it is
