What can go wrong on a mk5 Mondeo?
Discussion
A dealer near me is advertising a mk5 Mondeo estate with north of 100k on it. I am considering getting one now we have a small child with the associated stuff to carry around every time we go out and, whilst the mk4.5 are plentiful, they are a bit ‘old’ now in terms of design given the mk4 goes back a bit.

It looks OK in the pictures (don’t they all), is cheaper than alternatives due to the mileage and has a full history but wondered if it has any common faults as it’s the first year of that model or is due a cambelt change, etc at this mileage?

The chap on this channel will tell you all you need to know - he runs a fleet of mk5 taxis (he had mk4 and mk3 ones previously).

Edited to add, most people would say the mk4.5 is a much better sorted car than the mk5.
