Mrs Chuff's Fiesta seems to be doing about 15mpg, any one else come across this?
She swears she's making good use of the gears and I can't see any leaks.

Maybe the engine/coolant temperature sensor has failed (not the cooling fan sensor) and it is fuelling rich, as if it is permanently cold. Or perhaps the catalyst oxygen sensor has failed and is causing the same over-rich mixture. Wheel it off to the garage, plugging an ECU analysis box in should tell you if it has detected a sensor failure.

As said get the PCM checked for the presence of fault codes.

You could also do a few quick checks to make sure the filters aren't blocked and that the pipework from the filter to the engine isn't leaking between the MAF and the engine etc.
