Focus 2012 Powershift Transmission Issues
Discussion
My wife’s Focus 2012 Powershift has been juddering and slipping gear change for some time and today a transmission warning light came on. Looking online, this is quite common in the US, but I can’t see much in relation to this issue in the U.K.
I see it can be caused by oil leaking and lots of mention about replacing the TCM. Is this the best option? Or are there any other recommended fixes?
Thanks in advance.

Looking on www.etis.ford.com it appears I have an outstanding field service action for 14M02 - Transmission Control Module.
I have checked the fault code and it is showing a P0606. Clearing the code seems to have solved the problem of juddering gear changes (short term), but it will probably be back soon. This makes me think it is definately software or an issues with the electronics in the TCM/something else.
