Starting to get familiar with this site so thought i would see if anyone knows whats wrong with my car.

The car is a 2008 fiesta mk6 1.4tdci 122k miles.
The car drove fine for the first 6months of owning it, then one day on the dual carriageway driving at 70 the car lost power, i pulled over and went to rev it up and wouldn't rev over 2kRPM's. The AA came and did a diagnostic and said that the problem was Injector 2.

Few days later i took to a mechanic i trust, he drove the car checked everything, also did a diagnostic test and said nothing was wrong. Gave the car a full service and was running great for a month.

After a month when you would start the car it would stutter, it lasted for around 5 minutes and every so often when driving it would jerk back and forward. I just ended up putting up with it until i got my first no claims bonus in that car as it had a blackbox fitted.

After driving it like that for 4months the car has completely gone bad, On start up it is juddering and sometimes smoking badly, The stuttering is lasting around 15 minutes, The car jerks back and forward randomly but mainly under accelerating. Every so often on a startup you can hear a ticking noise and it gets louder on acceleration but will go after a few seconds. It has gone in limp three times in the passed month.

I have a new car now and this is sitting in the driveway until i figure out what to do with it, the car is honestly immaculate inside and out looks like it came out of the factory last week, so would be such a shame to sell it as spares and repairs. If anyone has any idea what could be wrong it would be much appreciated.

Things i have done to the car:
EGR replaced (not a genuine ford one though)
MAF sensor cleaned
Then blanked the EGR to see if it would help
Put some injector cleaner in and gave it a thrashing down motorway (this did make the car drive abit better but after doing this i kept going into limp mode)
Also took the car to a injector specialist and they said everything was fine.

Any carbon build up around the injectors ?any fault codes stored ? has anyone checked the live later to see whats happening ? My Mondeo played up and it was the EGR, it was electronic and just disconnecting it made it run better.
