I assume you mean the 907 type engine? Quite tall & wide from memory. Not sure if it would fit in the bay. Also not a huge amount of horsepower per pound. I'd guess a Zetec or Duratec would make much more sense in terms of BHP per £

They managed to squeeze it in the Talbot Sunbeam which is Escort sized.

Used to build quite a few around 40 years ago. Quite fiddly in certain areas to get right & damned expensive spares. Also not massively powerful. Unless originality is critical I'd still go for a Zetec or Duratec. More power for less dosh & still a Ford lump.

yes its for historic reasons, as looked into this last night and it has to be engine of the period and as this was Lotus or BDA and to find a BDA would be almost impossible, could go for the 2.0 ltr pinto with 48's on, go sometime before I need this as long road ahead, getting car ready, thanks Mike.

There was most of a BDA in bits on ebay last week. You can still get new parts from Burton and John Wilcox. It's just a question of how much you want to spend.
Also BDG's and Hart engines on Race cars direct, but again, not cheap.
