Hi all,

Got a 2011 - Ford Fiesta Zetec s - 120bhp

Was looking into adding some mods mainly for power reasons, would love to get it upto around 200+ bhp.

Handles great just lacking some power espicially 0-30.

So if i had the Mountune upgrade that would take it to 140bhp ish, then remap ontop probably looking at 160 being optimistic.

I imagine then it would be needing a turbo adding to get anywhere near 200+ or Nitrous. Which may require more engine work to support i imagine. (Apologies if i sound abit lost im rather new to alot of this, but my dads a ex mechanic so encouraged me to try to understand whats going on even if a garage does all the work)

Essentially im trying to work out, do i save my money and pickup a much quicker car in a few years (Audi rs3/Bmw 1 series/Golf R/New Fiesta ST) or do i spend 2-8grand on this increasing the power as i quite like the car?

Thanks
C smile

And something i forgot to mention,

Id seen before alot of people saying either

A: - Buy another car with a bigger and better engine/more power

B - Drop another engine in their - Which id rather not doo!

So yeah do i try and mod my little fiesta or just wait for my next car and stop being impatient????

If you've got the 1.6 petrol then it won't have a turbo, so you won't be able to get much in the way of Mountune upgrades and not much chance of seeing 140bhp without spending some serious cash.

As others have said - save up and get an ST. Or consider a 1.0 Ecoboost with 140bhp out the factory and then remap that for ~170ish...

Yeahhh thats probably what im thinking, gonna work out the cost of a turbo conversion etc. anyway But still gonna sit on it for now and probably get a ST or something in the future, alot less hassle too than doing a ton of work - thanks for the advice man
