I've been blessed with the ownership of a 2009 plate Ford Ka (newer shape) since Mrs Sam got a new car.
Just wondering what (if any) engine swaps are available for it...
I'd like to do the puma conversion on it if possible!

What do you mean by 'available'?

Any engine can go in if your pockets are deep enough. Seen a couple with cosworth engines and rear drive conversions that must go quite well.

What's your budget?

It was the Mk1 KA that had relatively simple engine swaps with the Puma as they were related. The Mk2 is completely different, so I would imagine the easiest road to more power via an engine swap would be with an Abarth 500's 1.4 turbo.

So you can't afford the fuel (fair enough, can't be cheap in an rx) yet you want to blow a fortune on a fanciful engine change in another car? Good logic so far!

You've still given us no real details of what you want to achieve or have to work with? What power you want? What you budget is? If you have the skills to do work yourself?

Easy answer.... Sell your rx and buy a diesel focus.

The mk2 ka is basically a Fiat 500 and use fiat engines so you need to be looking at abarth engines etc.

I wouldn’t waste my time though

Worth remembering that learners like Kas so as soon as you modify it, it becomes unsaleable because anyone wanting a faster car will buy something unmodified but fast as standard like Fiesta 140s and STs, Abarths, Up GTIs etc.
