Any downsides to a 5 door Fiesta ST-2?
Discussion
The Top Gear review on Sunday sparked an interest in the Fiesta ST, which is odd as I'm not really a hot hatch sort of person.
Just curious, apart from looks and quasi cool factor. Are there any advantages to the 3 door vs the 5 door? Ford want nearly a grand extra for the rear doors. And while it would certainly make for a more practical car, I'm just wondering if there are any other less apparent downsides?
Are residuals as good on the 5 door, or does it become less desirable, despite costing more?

I think the front doors might be longer on the three door. Obvious perhaps but if for example your parking space or garage is tight on space it might make a difference.
This. I went looking at ST's last week. I would say the doors on the 3 door version are a good 6" longer, so makes it more difficult to get out of in car parks or tight garages. As said, the doors are longer on the 3 door... which can make ingress / egress more difficult in car parks. They look better too - but the 5 door practicality is a nice bonus.
Personally I'd pay the extra for the ST-3, as they seem to be more desirable on the second hand market due to the extra kit.
