PLEASE HELP! 2015 Focus battery dead and can't get in
Discussion
Title says it all really.
Please help.
I've spent the last 2 months away from home and had left my focus languishing at home.
I've come back today and neither of the fobs are unlocking it.
I suspect the car battery is dead. I need to get in so I can jump start it and resurrect it that way.
How can I do this? There's a keyhole in the door but I dont have a manual key, just the two electronic fobs.
Please advise.
Many thanks

Do you belong to a breakdown service, they should be able to help you.
Ok I suppose that's fair enough.
I can't really persuade anyone that I'm not a rag tag car thief, other than I can show I can use apostrophes in the correct manner.
Sadly no, I'm not with a recovery service. My Ford cover ended with the last service and I've not used it a lot since due to work commitments.
Hugely frustrating since I was actually going to take it down to London. Something I'd argued against initially due to the costs of keeping it there. However leaving it back home and unused for 2 months has resulted in my current predicament.
If I can't persuade anyone on here to chuck a grain of advice then I suppose it's a call out situation. Shame really, as I have my jump starter power bank ready to go.

I've had the same with a keyless Fiesta.
If you look at the keyfob there are two buttons on the edge at the narrow end that you can push in and a lid will come off the keyring revealing a key you can use to open your Focus. There is also a little hole which you can place the end of the key in to give you leverage.
It should make sense when you look at it. There are videos in Youtube too.
I've had it happen twice and, in my case, I think I have a Bluetooth issue where the car keeping searching for a Bluetooth connected phone when you're away from the car and eventually drains the battery. If I'm not connecting my phone I disable Bluetooth through the Sync interface now. There is a Ford update to fix this apparently but my local dealer wants £120 just to run diagnostics so they can feck right off!
Good luck!

However unless I'm being very thick, all I can see when I take the fob apart is a circuit board and on the other half, a battery.
I was indeed thinking there must be a manual key hidden somewhere but just doesn't seem to be enough space in the fob for one.
If your jump pack is fully charged you should be fine, if it's a diesel give it a few 'warms' on the glowplugs before you turn it over. Also, if for whatever reason you can't get into the car you may be able to jack up the car and hook up your jump pack to the big positive terminal on the starter to energise the car and use the central locking.
