Hi all
Last year i turned on the ignition in my 2012 Ford KA, to see 2 warning lights on the dash. One was the oil light and the other one was a car with a padlock over it? The car started fine and drove normally, but we pulled over and checked the oil levels anyway. The oil levels were fine but we topped up with a very small amount - nothing changed. I had the car checked by the garage who ran a diagnostics on it, and no fault was found. They said it was probably just a loose connection somewhere and no major fault.

Anyway, i've been driving the car fine ever since (i know i should have got it sorted) and the lights are still on and occasionally the handbrake light comes on and the traction control one. I should mention they are not bright red, but more faded (although definitely there). These ones go on and off.

We've checked the fuses and also checked under the bonnet for any loose wires but can't find anything.
My start-stop function on my car also hasn't worked since the lights came on.

Any advice appreciated!

I read on a KA forum on Facebook the other day that electrical issues in the instrument cluster are common on the MK2 KAs. This actually happened to mine before with an airbag light coming on - the dealership just checked everything over and reset the warning light once they knew it was a sensor going off. Hasn't been on since and I haven't had to use the airbags either (touchwood)
