Hi, my battery was flat with all this cold weather so I took it out charged it up then after a few hours the van started fine. I then noticed the speedometer, tachometer and temperature and fuel gauge were not working so I checked The fuses behind the glove box but they all look ok are there anymore fuses anywhere else I am missing? Any help appreciated thank you

A common fault.

My mum's 2002 Focus did the same in the cold weather. It was resolved by removing the entire instrument cluster and re-doing all solder points on the PCB.

I've also heard the problem can be rectified by simply letting the interior of the car heat up (presumably, this closes an otherwise open circuit), removing the cluster and leaving it on a radiator for a while (same as heating the interior), giving the top of the dash a good whack, etc..

If the cluster itself has failed, there are companies who will repair for maybe £80 to £100.

Not anything I tried, but some have had success with this:

Check Fuses 59 , 48 , and 37 ( all 7.5 amp fuses ) located in the fuse box behind the glovebox.

If all these fuses are OK, remove all of them for a minute or so and then re-fit them. This can sometimes re-set the cluster.

I will remove the cluster tomorrow and warm it up over a radiator see if that helps
