..your driveway?

I do not have a garage, but I really want another Cosworth. Would you risk leaving one parked on your driveway instead of being in a garage? Obviously thinking about theft / attempted theft.

I'd be more worried about rust/attempted rust.

Not a chance. Remember that the "Ford tax" is very high and parts are sought after with a big market.

I currently have an E60 M5 on the driveway. Those still get stolen, but you're likely right about the Ford tax.

Re the the rust, yes that is also a concern.

Insurance might be an issue as well! Just something to check on first.

Half the price of my Evo insurance, which stipulates it must be in a garage by 10.30pm. rolleyes

Madness that. Obviously I wouldn't be keeping it standard.

An alternative would be an Evo, but I just really fancy another cossie and have a daily.

Cossie's probably safer money, and tbh an Evo left outside will probably rust worse than a Sierra!

maybe some visual deterrents and modern security, not sure if something like ghost can be fitted. I suppose if they want it bad enough nothing will stop them.

No chance, someone very recently had their three door dragged off the drive in broad daylight whilst they were at work. I wouldn’t risk it tbh.

My insurance stated to me if mine wasn't garaged overnight at the home address that it wouldn’t be covered.

WITH a cover - yes - without - definitely not worth the risk

Its amazing how theft defeating something as simple as this is.

There was a recent video with moped stealing thugs who openly admitted it wasn't worth the hassle

I wouldn't leave one on the drive personally, a 3dr was stolen late last year off of someone's drive which was under a cover and had no engine or gearbox fitted though the scumbags also stole them as well.

Mine lives in a secure garage which is an integral part of my mother’s house. When I bring it home, it has to sit on the drive. It’s hidden behind a large hedge, closed wooden gates and blocked in by another car.
I still don’t sleep.

In my opinion, theft is just as likely as it always was and your pride and joy would need to be locked away somewhere.
