Fiesta 6000CD code 'incorrect'

changed the battery on my Mk6 Fiesta and was greeted with a prompt to enter the radio code. This will be the 3rd battery change on the same car so i know the code and procedure, enter it and am faced with the 'INCORRECT' text on the radio display.

i have 2 separate ford official documents with the radio code and serial number on, have used it before and have since used an online radio code supplier (gave the same code) and it still says incorrect. It's the original code that came with the car from the factory.

Anybody else had the issue before or have a solution?

I'll contact ford directly but wanted to see if anyone could shed some light first.
