Older Zetec interchangeability? And help identifying engine

Chap at work had the following lying around in his garage and offered me it free of charge, of course i said yes, plan is to rebuild it for fun and possibly use it in my kit car or sell.

From what he remembers his son took it out of a Fiesta and it's a 1.6? From what i can see its definitely 16v and has a zetec rocker cover but an EFI inlet manifold, So im thinking single point injection 1.6 Zetec? From an XR2i?

My ford knowledge isnt amazing however.

Everything is there including new cambelt/tensioners, new gasket kit and new head bolts which is great, all im missing is a bottom end essentially.

I suppose my question is what bottom ends work? Will any 1.6 Zetec bottom end work? Will a 1.8 bottom end work?

Edit : Also anyone know how useable it is with a type 9 in a RWD config? I have a half built kit car with a mk2 Escort rear end so this could be ideal really. I know the 1.8 blacktop works but know very little about the other engines

Ive had a nose around on google main issue being without the block i dont have engine number to properly identify hoping somebody can tell from the other parts in the pictures
