Hi

I tried this on the gassing forum but couldn't get an answer.

On a Ford Galaxy Diesel, underneath on the near side about level with the B pillar there is some kind of vent pipe that discharges towards the exhaust. Today it suddenly began emitting eough smoke to count as a smog generator.

Can anyone tell me what this pipe is and why it is now suddenly smoking?

Thanks

Sounds like your Galaxy has the auxillary fuel fired heater.

There is a control for it, could a chld have been fiddling and turned it on?

a pic would be handy to confirm it.

Thanks - I'll take a look at the book and see if that's a possibility.
