Ford Focus 2006 Ghia not starting.....

Right, I've got a Ford Focus 2006 Ghia and I changed the fuses for the cigarette lighter and rear windscreen wiper. Well, once I changed them my car refused to even turn over.

I thought it could be the battery so I had someone to jump my car and still nothing. I'm looking for advice on what the problem could be as I am completely stumped.....

The lights still come on, but I get an error message saying "Engine System Fault" every time I go to start the car.

I would be grateful for any advice on what the problem could be, thanks.

Not that I have any idea what could be wrong but what happens if you put the old, blown fuses back in, or even just take those 2 particular fuses out?

Buy a diagnostic reader from amazon for 8 quid? Then tell us the code.

Works on most cars so worth while investment regardless.
