Hello everyone, this is my first car related post so bare with me smile

I Recently purchased the Fiesta Metal with 60k mileage. The car didnt come with its original twin pipe exhaust, but instead has a single exhaust. The car has a couple mountune stickers on it, so i'm not sure if someone has put a mountune on or not. However the current exhaust rattles and makes a grinding noise when i turn left which is very annoying.
My main concern though is that i actually want to replace the exhaust to something similar to the original twin exhaust. Unless the current one is better, but not sure how to find out?
And which twin exhaust systems would be similar or better than the Metals original?

Cheers
Jez

The Metal edition had "an overhauled exhaust system (wider pipes, modified rear muffler internals, reduced back pressure, new chrome twin pipes" and the Mountune version of that car also had twin pipes, a new induction system, a new exhaust, and some new software settings for the ECU. it looks like the induction kit may be easy to spot

So it seems someone has put a standard exhaust on yours, to save money or through ignorance..

Thanks for the reply

If thats the case, that someone put a standard exhaust on, or maybe swapped it to there own car before selling? Then im gutted. The dealership actually advertised the car in the photos as having the twin exhausts, but i didnt think to look before i bought it.

The mountune upgrade would be ace if i could afford. Is there a cheaper alternative like Milltek exhausts maybe?

Cheers

Cheapest way might be to go to an exhaust fabricator and get a stainless steel twin tip welded on.

ok. Would i have lost much performance with this current exhaust, just want the car to perform how it should. Although it does seem nippy enough compared to my old zetec s

The metal exhaust was based on the mountune exhaust design - the easiest way is to fit a mountune or milltek exhaust (as mountune in turn used the milltek as a basis)

But naughty that someone nicked the exhaust before sale!

Ok cheers, i think milltek seems more in my price range. Yes naughty indeed. My bad for not being more vigilant before buying frown. An upgrade to work towards though i guess
