After a long time, I’ve finally got my hands on a decent XR3i cabriolet. I know the hard top is in higher demand and a sharper steer but I just like the soft top more. And they’re nowhere near the price of hard tops.

The one I’ve got is a lovely steer and seems to be in fine order.

Looking forward to some fun drives with the kids and winding the clocks back (no pun intended) 20 years or so to younger times 😀

Looking really good with the RS alloys , would love to have a drive all these years later , no doubt would bring back some memories, just a shame it's winter now so no roof down driving

Very nice, these were always one of my boyhood favourites smile

Looks in pretty good condition for a car that must be nearly 30 years old.

Once ubiquitous, now if you see one, or the hard top....or even a S1 or S2 RS Turbo Escort...your head turns.. so few left!
Very nice. It was a common mod to swap for the RS turbo engine. The front bumper splitter and skirts based on the '90 spec RS?
Strange to think in 1987 a guy down the road owned a grey one and i thought the 15" alloys were huge!

I owned my first RS, a white 1988 Escort Turbo in 1994... sold it for pennies rolleyes

I’ve had a few xr3i’s absolutely loved them at the time, no longer quick or even nippy but still surprisingly nice to drive and look great as always!

Who says ?

It's not properly cold yet.

Give it a try ,even for only 10 minutes.
