ANY FORD TECHNICIANS ON HERE PLEASE FIESTA 2006 SYSTEMS FAIL

Thank you in advance for your replies .

Girlfriends son has 56 plate Fiesta petrol engine . Not sure of engine side 1000/1200 ? He's a young kid so would be lowest insurance .

Car refuses to turn over , battery ok . Message on dash is something like Systems failure and engine overheating ? The car hasn't started since Sunday . Tried jumping it just incase it was battery low but nothing apart from dash lit up like Blackpool .

Tried spare key thinking it might be micro chip in key but nothing , just won't turn over or even click . Rocked back in gear and forwards thinking starter might be jammed .

Any ideas or experience of this snybody ?

I guess it should go on a diagnostic machine which will tell fault but he's a student and money tight .

That's very vague.

What engine is in it? What is the exact message on the dash?

Car running OK before this message appeared?no prior symptoms?

Has it overheated? Coolant ok?
How do you know the battery is ok? How was it tested?
