My other half has got a slightly poorly 2005 Focus with an engine check light on. I need to procure an OBD2 scanner to check the DTC code/s for the hesitant running and engine light on.
Can anyone recommend an economical unit?
I found this one on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OBD2-Code-Reader-for-Fo...

Will this suffice, or are they a bag of smashed a55holes?

Thanks in advance
Cad

5 pounds worth of Elm 327 has done all i've ever needed.

Will an eBay one work with 'Torquelite' which I already have on my phone? Can you see codes and eliminate the amber engine light?

Thanks

If you Google 'Pistonheads, fault code readers' there are several threads. I think this is the most recent - though not necessarily the most relevant to you.

Thanks Dogwatch.
Think I'll go for the ELM version 1.5
