Mk6 Fiesta Zetec handling tweaks?
Discussion
56 Fiesta Zetec 1.4 on Rainsport3 tyres.
A superb, narrow little car that steers and changes direction quite well. It is great fun working it hard down a twisty road.
If anything, the back end is a little too planted when lifting off.
It grips well, but the front tends to push in understeer in steady state ( hard) cornering, as most road cars do.
Rather than go down the rear ARB and lowering route, are there any simple chassis changes that work well on these cars?
The engine is reasonably willing, but it's a pity that it doesn't have a freer breathing exhaust and inlet, with the cat mounted further from the engine for a bit more high rpm go. It would be at the expense of torque lower rpm for normal driving though.
