Mondeo 2.2 tdci DPF pressure pipe size.

Evening all. I have just had the engine management light come on this week. I plugged in a cheap reader is that I could get and the code is relating to the DPF. Had a look underneath and it looks like one of the rubber pipes that goes to the DPF has split.

Looking around I have seen sizes mentioned varying from 5mm internal to 8mm internal.

Does anyone know the actual size for these as I'm looking at replacing them with some silicon hoses and heat sealed rather than like for like just due to cost.
