We've had no aircon in a 2016 Galaxy (still in warranty) due to a fractured pipe since March, and no parts availability from Ford.

Struggling to get meaningful responses and no empathy at all from the Ford CRC and also emailed CEO - no response from him. All they can say is that they are escalating the issue to their parts team.

What legal rights do I have to a reasonable resolution time on a warranty covered item? Whilst I know it's not safety critical, and doesn't disable the car, driving a mobile greenhouse in this heatwave is extremely uncomfortable with 5 kids and a dog. All 4 windows open on motorways is not pleasant.

I just feel cheated and totally uncared for by Ford having replaced an increasingly problematic 2010 Galaxy with a new generation one with a warranty for peace of mind. What a waste of money.

As it's the latest generation car I can't imagine their production line is stopped due to lack of availability of aircon pipes?!

Any advice on anything more I could do would be appreciated. Or do I just have to lump it and wait?

Thanks, Andy

I would say that's not acceptable and they should give you a courtesy or hire car.

If it was out of warranty then maybe an air-con specialist could repair the pipe, or fabricate a replacement.

Maybe try WhatCar's helpdesk (if they still have such a thing) through their Facebook etc site?
