Focus 'Global ...' feature.
Discussion
In the Focus handbook it says there is a Global Open and Global Close feature, hold the Lock button on the key for 3 seconds and all the windows close, hold the Unlock Button on the key all the Windows open, a handy feature.
However, on my car the feature doesn't work. My car only has electric front windows, no sunroof, windup rear windows.
Is the feature only available on certain models or Should it work??
TIA
Stuart.

From another Forum www.ffoc.co.uk it could be done, but have a read and see if it puts you off....
If you wanna retro fit electric windows in the back (using Ford parts anyway) then you're going to need all the kit fitted to the Ghia (which has electric windows all round) you're gonna need the rear electric window assembly and the window regulators (not cheap), 2 x electric window motors (definitely not cheap), rear window switchs and a driver's window switch assembly (so the driver can control the rear windows). To do a proper job you'll also need the rear door scards as well (so you haven't got a big hole where the window handle was and so you'vew got somewhere to mount the lecky window switches)
As I'm sure you can imagine this is NOT going to be very cheap, even if you can source all of the bits from a scrappy it still isn't going to be cheap and it's a hell of a lot of work to remove all the existing window assemblies and fit the new electric ones (which will probably require some riveting).
But if you've got deep pockets and a lot of time and tools on your hand then go for it.
As you have a face lifted model you could give the Auto doors closure thing a try though, should work on yours..
How To Activate The Auto Lock Facility On The Focus.
1. Turn on the ignition but dont start the engine
2. Lock the door by pushing in the button below the handle, and then pull the handle slightly to reopen it (Repeat this operation three times)
3. Turn off the ignition
4. Lock the door by pushing in the button below the handle, and then pull the handle slightly to reopen it (Repeat this operation three times)
5. Turn on the ignition but dont start the engine
A beep should be heard
6. Lock the door by pushing in the button below the handle and then pull the handle slightly to reopen again
A final beep should be heard
Basically, once you set this up the doors will lock automatically more or less as soon as the car starts rolling, nominally @ 7kph. You'll still be able to open the doors by pulling the interior handle, but they won't be able to be opened from the outside. If you stop and open the door though they won't relock automatically unless you turn off the engine and restart - basically, it works once per journey, after that you have to do it manually. And in the event of an accident, the airbag system will unlock the doors automatically, so you don't need to worry about that aspect.
