Mk2 frs (modified) insurance help

My dad has just bought a modified MKII focus rs. His usual insurers (Churchill) won’t touch him as its had a performance upgrade - it’s about 430bhp I think.

He’s 55. Lives in a decent area. Several years NCB works as a mechanic.

Where should he try?

start with flux or a-plan then have a sniff around the RS forums

It’s currently blocked in by 3 cars and hidden from view. Plus he lives fairly rural

Will be getting a disc lock and moving the ODB port.

I’m not sure they’re *as* popular for thieves now as they used to be but he’ll be taking precautions

I know of 3 stolen in the villages around where I live in the last few months...

Really? Christ, cheers for the heads up. I presumed thieves had gone onto audis and golf Rs (or they have round here at least)

But yeah. He’ll be making sure it’s got some sort of extra protection.

One was stolen a few weeks ago around 15:00 from a village pub car park. Not been found.

I suspect it’s been stripped for parts.

Need 2 Insure are another company worth getting a quote from. They cover a fair bit of business for the Ford / RS owners through the forums / Facebook groups.
