Focus ST Mk2 battery drain

My Mk2 ST3 has an issue where when locked the little lcd display on the dash stays on all the time and eventually drains the battery.

If I leave the car unlocked after 15 minutes or so the lcd display goes out as it should. I can leave it unlocked with no issues with the battery, only I would rather not!

It had a new battery a few months ago.

I have found a few similar issues but none where the issue seems to be with locking the car.

Any ideas?

Hi I know it was last June but my battery drains the same as yours what was the cause of your problem focus 1.8 thanks mike

Swapping the audio head unit fixed it.
