51 plate Ford Focus.
Remote key fob doesn't work, but central locking does work when inserting key into the door. I have tried all these suggested solutions found online:

Change Fob Battery
Put key into ignition and turn it rapidly to On four time, when press Lock or Unlock button
Changed Fuse 63 (what a stupid place to put it on the back of a fuse box)
Removed the cables from the Siemens box to the right of the pedals for an hour then reconnect.
Repeatedly pressed the rubbery button on the pillar where the door shuts (by seatbelt)

But still no joy. Does anyone have any other solutions? After all this effort I would quite like to get it working

Cheers

Is the key producing a signal? - pop the key open and just visually check all the circuits are intact, and then try clicking the tiny button on the remote, without the rubber cover.

Has it ever worked? How long have you owned the car? It's possible that the RF side of it isn't programmed to the car. I believe you need to have the "master" key to be able to add new keys.

Had the car for two years and the remote control did work until a month or so ago.

I’ve popped open the key, but I can’t see a “tiny button” and anyway as the battery is no longer connected to the fob when I do that , it wouldn’t work anyway?

Thank you
