Hi All,

Not posted much in here, been incredibly busy removing rust and so on and so on (You get the picture) from my Hensen M30 (Love it or hate it, it's a good weekend getaway for me)

Probably thinking why the hell I'm posting on the ford section, well it's got a full MK1 Granada running gear and an Essex V6 so best section for me I suppose.

I'm currently rebuilding the big old lump of engine that is the engine, nice and simple, its had a rehone and it will be running 3.1 with a Uprated Kent Cam, Crankshaft and Bosch Distributor along with a DFI Carb, enough to keep me happy.

My question is relating to gearboxes, I've kindly been given a Type 9, 4 speed bix (73EG7A040AA) as my engine didn't come with a any transmission, now, I have googled a bit and supposedly this will fit directly onto the Essex (Once again "apparently" this was fitted to an Essex before being given to me) and in fairness to it, the bellhousing pattern matched what should be required.

So, has anyone had any experience of running the two together and what clutch kit is required?
