Misfire on a 2.2 diesel s max only when cold?!
Discussion
Hello, hopefully you can help me with this problem... I have a 2.2 diesel s max titanium x with 80k, last week it suffered a split alternator belt with took out the camshaft sensor and caused the car to 'die'. Got recovered to a local garage where it was repaired and had a full service inc fuel filter. On driving the car now it has developed a misfire, hesitation at low revs in say 3rd and 4th, it actually stalled today approaching a roundabout and I was going from 4th to 3rd, lost power steering grrrrrrr! After a few miles it goes away. No fault codes stored, car is run on BP fuel and there's no smoke or any other symptoms... Anyone suffer the same problem and get resolved?? Any help sincerely appreciated.
Different engine, but we had the same problem on our 2.0 - hesitation below 2,000 RPM and an odd miss/stutter if holding the revs at about 1,800 when stationery, bit like a cough.
It was only when cold to start with, but over 6 months it started to do it when warm too. Ended up being 2 injectors after changing a number of sensors on it, changed all 4 at the same time. Car was on 106k when this was done and like you said no fault codes either.
